Springetts Helps Weetabix Celebrate Its British Heritage

To celebrate Queen’s Diamond Jubilee as many other British brands, Weetabix is launching a special edition ‘Fuel Britannia’ pack, designed by Springetts.

Weetabix provides slow release energy, helping families to fuel their day, so the agency has had the idea of subverting the traditional British anthem ‘Rule Britannia’ to create the ‘Fuel Britannia’ logo.  It shows the iconic brand’s confidence in its heritage that it was happy enough to replace the brand logo for this limited edition run from May to July 2012.

Bunting, so often a part of British celebrations, has been designed to run from one pack to the next for strong in-store theatre.  This celebratory feel provided by the bunting underlines the year of celebrations: the Olympics, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and also Weetabix’s own 80th anniversary!

The Royal Warrant from the Queen, a symbol of the provenance and quality of the brand, has been reintroduced on-pack.

The bunting will also appear on Weetabix Chocolate and Weetabix Minis packs.
