Hydration is an important element of wellbeing, but we often forget to sip water regularly. The water brand Vittel has collaborated with the Ogilvy Paris agency to create a smart bottle cap that reminds us to drink water.
The red alert bottle cap features a simple mechanism with a built-in timer that reminds consumers to drink water every hour. When it’s time to take another sip, a tiny signaling flag pops up on the cap. As simple as that. The timer is set automatically every time a consumer twists the cap to shut the bottle.
With the innovative cap, Vittel wants to raise awareness of an importance to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. “The program was launched in France in order to gauge consumers’ reactions and measure their behavioral changes. Initial findings show people drank more water during the day and enjoyed it,” states the brand in the description to the video.
