Deutsche Bank collaborates with Designboom on the Future Banking contest

Deutsche Bank is teaming up with the Designboom online journal for a global competition that focuses on the future of banking. As part of the contest, the bank is seeking smart and fresh solutions that will help enhance customer experience in such fields as branch interactions, digital day-to-day and life planning bank transactions. Ideas that revolve around inspiring consumers and nurturing a positive outlook are also accepted.

The competition is running through August 15 here. Anyone creative is invited to apply, from professionals to design enthusiasts. The brief is quite simple: the entrants are to develop “an innovative financial service that adds genuine value to their day-to-day life.”

Deutsche Bank believes that banks should be relevant and assist them a lot in taking care of their financial & non-financial needs in daily life, they also should offer “anytime, anywhere, anyhow” solutions, but in a non-intrusive way, and also share timely advice. The submissions are expected to sync with this ethos. The entries are to be visual (up to 6 photos or up to 2 videos) and go along with a description text of up to 200 words.

A panel of judges will select best entries based on the entry’s depth and the “Future Banking” theme coverage. The 1st prize winner will walk away with €10,000, the 2nd prize amounts to €5,000 and 3rd prize is €3,000. Later, 10-15 selected ideas will be revealed at an innovation exhibition in Berlin.
