Gamalost frå Vik: a cheese from fjord country

Last year Sukker studio from Norway beautifully redesigned the packaging for the Norwegian specialty cheese “Gamalost frå Vik“.
Gamalost is a celebrated regional speciality from beatiful western Norway. Perched in spectacular fjord country the Vikcitizens pride themselves on their cheese, with this in mind it was a particularly sensitive project requiring a great deal of research and locally gathered knowledge.
The result was a fine balancing act to the commercial and cultural design.
