Lucky Strike Silver changes its colour

6 May 2009 | By Popsop Team

As BAT UK reports, Lucky Strike Silver packs from mid-May will feature a new blue bullseye. With its unique ‘toasted’ Lucky Strike blend, this blue bullseye packaging is designed to help smokers differentiate between the two blends: red for Lucky Strike’s original full flavour (10mg) and blue for Lucky Strike’s mellow taste (7mg).

The national rollout of the new blue bullseye pack will commence with the introduction of a transition pack that will be in the market for six weeks. Wrapped in red bullseye marked cellophane, the new blue bullseye is revealed once the outer wrap is peeled away.

BAT UK Premium Brand Manager, Hinesh Patel commented: “The new blue bullseye pack for Lucky Strike Silver preserves the original and instantly recognisable classic Raymond Lowey bullseye pack design that is known globally.

“And we remain true to Luckies’ three centuries of tradition, as well as its blend. However the rollout of the new blue bullseye pack is in direct response to smokers wanting to be able to easily spot the difference between Lucky Strike’s two blends – red and blue. Luckies really do have two tastes, under one iconic name.”

The new blue pack with a clear cellophane wrap will be in the market from mid-May.
