Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., the leading American spirits company, and Courvoisier® Cognac, one of the world’s leading cognac brands, has launched a new decadent chocolate truffle range.
Underlining the Courvoisier position of excellence, the gourmet treats are the result of a collaboration with Bissinger’s® Handcrafted Chocolatier, one of the last handcrafted chocolate makers in the world.
The truffles were created by Courvoisier Master Blender, Jean Marc Olivier, and Bissinger’s Chocolatiers, Terry Wakefield and Dave Owens. They combined a special cask strength blend of Courvoisier® XO Cognac with Bissinger’s fine 55 percent dark chocolate. The result is a complex blend of chocolate subtly accented with the aroma of cognac. The long finish of chocolate notes is further enhanced by warmth from the characteristic Courvoisier finish. The truffles are presented in an elegant black box that bears the gold Courvoisier crest.
Courvoisier XO is one of the world’s finest XO blends. Crafted from a very old blend of fine cognacs aged up to 35 years, the artistry of the Courvoisier blending is exquisitely displayed in the velvety texture and the aromatic candied orange, creme brulee and iris flower notes; a perfect combination with chocolate.
Courvoisier truffles are available through the Bissinger’s network of stores, Web site and select retailers worldwide with a suggested retail price of $22.00 for a box of nine and $36.00 for a box of 18.
