15 May 2009 | By Popsop Team
Backyard chefs looking to add extra flair to steaks and standard grilling fare this season can turn to a savory new sauce with the flavor of a classic favorite – Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce.
This new, thicker version of the traditional Lea & Perrins flavor is an extension to the Lea & Perrins line and is perfect for dipping, topping and adding a zesty, bold taste to any grill.
In keeping with the signature paper-wrapped glass bottles, Lea & Perrins brand is celebrating the launch by searching for the ultimate family “wRAP” video. The playful contest, dubbed “That’s a wRAP,” allows fans to “wRAP” about Thick Classic sauce to the tune of a $5,000 cash grand prize and premium beef package from Certified Angus Beef® brand.
Four runners up will receive $1,000. The contest even offers a “wRAP App” online tool to help entrants create their own unique rhymes and phrases. The top ten “wRAP” videos will be posted on www.thatsawrapcontest.com and judged by America later this summer.
Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce will be available nationwide in a 10 oz. bottle for $3.09.
About Lea & Perrins
Chemists John Lea and William Perrins made their first batch of sauce in the early 1800s. They perfected the aging process and special blend of seasonings to create a delicious, savory sauce. In 1839, John Duncan, a New York entrepreneur, ordered a small quantity of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce.
