David Edwards, professor of Harvard University and inventor of Foodlab at Le Laboratoire (Paris, France) developed revolutionary new way of eating chocolate – by breathing it! He called this invention Le Whif (while the process is called whiffing). The consumers could enjoy mint chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mango chocolate, and plain chocolate by breathing it from a small tube with no calories effect.
The culinary possibilities of whiffing are being revealed during the year-long Le Whif World Tour. First, there was the launch party in Paris on April 29th. Then, Le Whif was presented at the Majestic Beach during the Cannes Film Festival.
Most recently, a surprising appearance as a gourmet revelation at one of the world’s major candy shows in Chicago.

Wow… I can be a chocoholic without piling on the pounds, I can feel like I smoke again thanks to the paraphernalia but only inhale chocolate. Definitely naughty but nice. It even looks cute with its graphic approach. However, I’m not sure its ever going to replace the iconic status of Don Corleoni’s cigar or James Dean’s cigarette. Shame about the name too “LE WHIFF,” kind of takes me somewhere else.
