Diageo relaunches Tanqueray gin

Diageo relaunches Tanqueray gin with a global campaign ‘Resist Simple’ starting this week in US and later on the global markets. It follows the packaging desesign addressign the brand to its roots – in 1940th.

The campaign ‘Resist Simple’ by Wieden & Kennedy is represented by 2 TV spots – ‘Paris’ and ‘Backstage’ and also includes press and online advertising.

Shivaun Lucey, global brand director for gins at Diageo, said the activity encourages consumers to resist the simplicity and ‘enjoy the pleasure in the complexity and richness of life’.

Previously Diageo conducted a redesign of Tanqueray’s bottle, returning the original cocktail shaking bottle which first appeared in 1948. The silver label enhances gin’s contemporary image and premium positioning.
