World’s first corrugated cardboard beer crate, holding 12 bottles of beer, real, nice and easy. Unique brand and structural packaging design brings together four characteristic family owned Dutch beer brewers. BooM packaging developed for her client, het Bierburo, the brand & packaging design for 12 bottles of beer.
Context
Discover the real taste: celebrate unique beers of the only four Dutch family breweries. Especially for the “taste of Real” each brewer developed a unique recipe. Taste the passion for beer, which has been transferred generation upon generation with respect for the people and their surroundings.
Objective
Develop the brand and structural packaging design for 12 bottles of beer from the only four Dutch family breweries. The design needs to meet the marketing communication values; heritage, authenticity, small business, inspiration and experience.
Result
The result not only includes an appropriate identity, which brings together the four characteristic brewers; also the result is world’s first corrugated cardboard beer crate with an unique look & feel and maximum gift perception. The gift case is provided with a beer glass, four “taste of Real” coasters and a booklet with background information and stories of the brewers.
Given the discussion about environmental impact, this case is made from corrugated cardboard a natural and renewable resource, which generates a small carbon footprint.
The new beer crate is perfectly suitable for recycling therefore there is no need for reversed vending which offers unique chances for the international ambitions of the brewers and ultimate convenience for the customer.
The packaging design underlines the character of the brewers and their unique beers. It inspires to purchase and creates the ultimate product presentation.
