Anheuser-Busch plans to launch ‘sweet’ light beer Bud Light Golden Wheat

On October 5 Anheuser-Busch Brewery, owned by the world’s biggest beer producer AB Inbev, plans to launch a wheat version of Bud Light. It will the next extention to Bud Light portfolio after the last year launch of Bud Light Lime.
According to Keith Levy, VP of marketing at A-B, the marketing spend for Bud Light Golden Wheat will be about $30 million this year, including online ads, outdoor, print and TV campaign.
By launching Bud Light Golden Wheat A-B hopes to attract new consumers who want to try something new, taking in account a growing popularity of sweeter wheat beers by craft breweries.
