Bärenjäger — a bear liqueur
21 August 2009 | By Popsop Team
Bärenjäger is one of the oldest honey-flavored liqueurs in the world. Its name is translated as
”bear hunter” as they say that hunters used to use an aromatic honey beverage to attract bears.
Bärenjäger is made in Germany. It is interesting to note that the honey it uses now comes from Mexico but the drink itself dates back to the 1400s.
