Bottle redesign for Diageo’s Bushmills

Bushmills, a Diageo brand of Irish whiskey, has undergone bottle redesign. The new bottle, which appears in global retail from March 2010, became the result of £1.75m investment. It was designed by London-based agency Bloom.

It is a part of an ongoing investment programme by the company of over £10.25m in the brand since it was acquired in 2005. In Northern Ireland the redesigned bottle will be available from November 2009.

Ali Wilkes, Bushmills marketing manager at Diageo GB, said: “Following on from the successful 400th anniversary, Bushmills now has its largest share of the Irish whiskey market and is in strong growth“.

The popularity of Bushmills whisky in Ireland is well illustrated by the fact that the Bank of Ireland has chosen the Old Bushmills Distillery as the icon of Northern Ireland to feature on all of their banknotes.
