Glenfiddich 50 Year Old: more info
4 September 2009 | By Popsop Team
As we wrote previously, this August Glenfiddich has unveiled one of the most expensive releases – Glenfiddich 50 Year Old at GBP 10,000 for a bottle.
The packaging of the bottle is reflective of its luxurious palette and price tag.
Each hand-blown bottle is individually numbered and enclosed in a hand-stitched leather case accompanied by a signed certificate from some of the company’s most revered craftsmen. The bottle is finished in Scottish silver by a local silversmith.
“We’re happy to wait as long as we need to – up to fifty years in this instance – to produce the perfect whisky. The Glenfiddich 50 Year Old is the pinnacle of our whisky-making excellence”, commented Peter Gordon, Chairman of Glenfiddich.
