SABMiller expands the production in African region

SABMiller plc has recently announces that it got the license from the Namibian government to build the beer producing and bottling plant in Namibia.

The unit will be called SABMiller Namibia (pty) Ltd. The amount of investment is under discussion.

SABMiller has been importing beer into Namibia through Castle Brewing Namibia (CBN) for more than 20 years and has around 22% of the domestic market through brands such as Castle Lager, Carling Black Label, Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Castle Lite.

Another news from SABMiller Africa is the purchase of Maheu business for US$19.25 from Trade Kings Limited. It produces a non-alcoholic maize drink ‘Super Maheu No.1′ available in a variety of flavours.
