Despite the global economic turndown the Swiss food manufacturer Nestle states 3.5 percent sales gain for first half of year.
Most of this profit was gain due to the sales growth in confectionery industry, especially in luxury chocolate sector. Sales decreased only in the bottled water business as the environmental aspect of the production is under critics
This week Nestle confirmed plans to implement innovations and develop the packaging for luxury chocolate as soon as the new R&D facility in Switzerland opens this month.
