Ice sculptures to commemorate new Smirnoff flavoured vodkas launch
16 September 2009 | By Popsop Team
As we wrote previously, Diageo GB hit the flavoured vodka market by making Lime Smirnoff and Green Apple Smirnoff available to all off-trade retailers nationally this summer.
The launch followed a six-month trial in selected retailers and bars in Bristol.
To commemorate this launch, UK-based sculptors in 5 biggest cities across the country – Liverpool, Manchester, London, Glasgow and Edinburgh – carved away giant ice replicas of the famouse buildings.
Jamie Hamilton carved the sculpture of Manchester’s Urbis, in Liverpool the Liver Building was ‘replicated’ in ice.
Sculpture of London Skyline was unveiled in Covent Garden. An ice sculpture of The Armadillo was unveiled at Buchannan Galleries.
In Edinburgh the famouse Forth Bridge was carved from ice.
