As Reuters reports, Kraft Foods plans to continue the negotiations with Cadbury regarding possible acquisition and may offer a new bid.
According to Kraft’s CEO, Irene Rosenfeld, the company “would continue to assess the opportunity and consider progressing to a formal offer”.
As we remember, last week Cadbury rejected the offer worth GBP 10.2bn, claiming it was underestimated.
Though company’s CEO considers, the talks could lead to mutually beneficial results.
“If this transaction were completed, Kraft Foods would expect to revise our long-term growth targets to 5+% for revenue and 9-11% for earnings per share, from our previously announced, 4+% and 7-9%, respectively,” she said.
