Anheuser-Busch has expanded its Budweiser portfolio by launching Budweiser American Ale in the US.
Budweiser American Ale, which is 5.3%abv, will be launched across the retail and on-trade sectors from 29 September, Anheuser (A-B) announced yesterday (17 September).
Eric Beck, brewmaster for the new beer, said: “Budweiser American Ale has the full-bodied taste profile of the amber ale style.” It is being launched to help A-B grab a bigger share of the growing market for craft beers and high-end lagers, Beck added.
The beer will be backed by advertising in all media, as well as sampling events, A-B said.
