New soap from Yardley of London – the affordable luxury
9 October 2009 | By Anna Rudenko
The international manufacturer of personal care products, company Lornamead Brands launched a line of pure-vegetable soaps for its Yardley of London brand. The packaging design with a mix of “old a new forms” was created by the design firm Little Big Brands from New York.
Detailed botanical illustrations bring a classic English feel to each carton, but contemporary typography keeps the look up-to-date. The packaging also contains a suprise. Inside the box consumers can find the same graphics as on the exterior and the short motto. The message is unique for different soap varieties – “Energize your soul” (Honeysuckle Citrus), “Bathe yourself in tranquility” (Almond Milk) and “Wash your cares away” (Lavender Wisteria).
“Now, more than ever, today’s customers are looking for healthy ingredients in their bath- and skin-care products but do not want to sacrifice quality or aesthetics,” says Deidre Williams, Skin Care Marketing Director at Lornamead.
