Distilleria Bottega will be presenting two new products at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes next month.
Elixir 0, launched earlier this year, is an innovative non-alcoholic bitters that is promoted in line with the company’s “Drink well” philosophy (drinking alcohol in moderation).
A result of research, the original recipe is composed of aloe, red chicory from Treviso, rhubarb, chamomile flowers, gentian, mint, liquorice, bitter orange, sweet orange, saffron, chichona root and aniseed. According to the distiller, even without any alcohol the same flavour and nose of traditional bitters, prized for their digestive properties, is maintained.
The 50cl bottle is available in travel retail at a recommended retail price of €9.90 (US$14.30).
Brunello di Montalcino Il Vino dei Poeti wine comes from the reputed hilly area of Montalcino in southern Tuscany, the distiller said.
Completing the Il Vino dei Poeti collection, the wine is characterised by its intense ruby red colour with pomegranate reflections. A long-lasting and intense bouquet with captivating perfumes of red fruits accompanies a dry, robust, full-bodied taste. The persistent aftertaste with scents of wood completes its profile.
With 13.5%abv it is well-balanced with the right amount of tannin. The wine goes well with dishes based on red meat as well as salami.
The 75cl bottle retails in the duty free market at €50 (US$72).
