Dell Takes Organic Packaging
Dell wants to follow the most recognizable global brands and goes green as well. Now the well-known computer company puts its products into packs made of bamboo, which can then be easily recycled. The era of plastic bags seems to be over soon.
The new strategy is going to save more than $8 million for the company. Over the next four years it will help eliminate approx. 20 million pounds of packaging material.
The new organic packaging is rather cheap as bamboo grows fast, and the wood is strong and firm, so the equipment won’t be damaged during transportation.
