The Bavaria brand has been present on the market since 1719 and is now the second largest producer of beer in The Netherlands. The old traditions should be respected and kept, but not for too long when it comes to branding. Last month the producer introduced a new look of its range of beers taking the blue colour as the basis.
Adopting a dominant packaging colour is another step to strengthening the brand’s position on the market and driving it to the very top of the sales. The typography remained pretty much the same (just a bit bolder) with a rounded rounded-edge triangle instead of a stricter one. The company decided to go through a considerable redesign to come closer to its main rival Heineken. As the green niche is already taken (we all know by what brand), and the blue was already integrated into design, the there was no hesitation what colour to take.
