Heineken Knows The Signs: Drink Responsibly

At the end of October this year Heineken officially launched its second global responsible drinking campaign entitled “Know The Signs”. After the success of last year’s Enjoy Heineken Responsibly campaign, Heineken continues to talk about the signs people start to show when they’ve had one too many.

Almost all of us saw a spot on YouTube.com: ‘Drunk Pole Dance Gone Wrong’, which was one of last week’s more popular viral videos. The video features a girl in a red party dress with too much drink, who starts pole dancing at a wedding. And few of us know that the video is part of Heineken’s new campaign for responsible drinking.

It seems that wherever you live, everyone knows someone that might go too far on a night out and transforms into an embarrassing character. Last year 5 characters were defined, such as The Crier, The Fighter, The Sleeper, The Exhibitionist, The Groper and this year two new ones appreared: The Flirt and The Stumbler.

Brand provided its fans with tools to use all night long: before (the Know The Signs website), during (with the iPhone “Breathalyzer”) and after (with the “Tag of Shame” social network application).

With these tools you can connect with your friends and share opinions about self-awareness on a night out and in that sense Heineken is enabling a conversation between friends.
