Philip Morris Is Plotting to Get the Electronic Cigarette
22 December 2009 | By Anna Rudenko
Conventional cigarettes can be replaced with their electronic simulator in course of a few following years. To have a firm grip on the situation, Philip Morris, the biggest producer of tobacco cigarettes in the US, is negotiation with Ruyan Group, which came up with the original e-cigarette several years ago, in 2005.
As for now the agreement on the matter hasn’t been reached, but the tobacco company is surely to go on. It all started in July, when the price of Ruyan’s stocks increased by 35%. Maybe, the hugу company just wants to control the production of its main rival or even shut this manufacturing down for producing its own e-cigaretts. Still, since there is no official information, it’s too early to say what the real intentions of the tobacco giant are.
It’s hard to say in detail, what’s the Philip Morris’s heads are plotting, but they definitely want their company to remain the leader in the sphere. No matter what it takes.
The concept of the cigarettes is breaking: this is a battery-powered device that provides inhaled doses of nicotine (or other harmless flavoured substance) by way of a vaporized solution. The stick, which is completely similar to a conventional cigarette, has a glowing tip to make the process of smoking look like the regular one.
