Paul Cartwright Branding has created package design for Longe’s Nigerian snack

23 September 2008 | By Popsop Team

For the past 6 months Paul Cartwright Branding has been working with a company called Longe (pronounced ‘loangay’) which is the concept of Bamidele Akomolafe, a woman with Nigerian roots, who has founded the company to promote a range of foods, fashion and art.

The first in line is a small range of Nigerian snack foods – plantain crisps and ‘chin chin’ (a fried pastry).

The design of the packaging has deliberately underplayed the Nigerian origins of the range, in a bid to appeal to a wide audience and offer itself as an alternative to usual snack foods.

The reverse of each pack does feature a ‘Did you know?’ paragraph about relevant people and places in Africa and two of the products feature artists’ artwork which will be available to purchase online.
