Absolut Brazil bursts with colors
13 October 2008 | By Popsop Team
The Absolut Brazil project contemplated the newest names in Brazilian contemporary art, whose interpretations will result in isolated works of art.
Twelve artists: Nando Costa, Adhemas, Abiuro, Glauco Diogenes, Gui Borchert, Marconi, Nitrocorpz, Colletivo, Rubens Lp and mooz were introduced to the public through virtual interpretations of the ABSOLUT VODKA package using Brazilian culture as the main theme.
Guilherme Marconi is a self-taught young artist, born in Nova Friburgo state of Rio de Janeiro. Marconi tells: “When I thought about Brasil, I’ve immediately wanted to involve our music, folklore, cultural diversity, fruits (goes well with vodka) and combine it all to become a huge salad, using the mixture of colours we have around here.
The pattern is based on an idea of cultural mixture, and that mixture is what makes Brazil such a special place”.
