Marks & Spencer has tapped Ryan Reynolds and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for a series of prints to promote a new Autograph collection, which is due hit stores tomorrow, September 1. The Hollywood A-listers joined the team of models, actresses and actors, who front the M&S ad campaigns—the apparel manufacturer frequently introduces new faces and axes previous celebrity packed promotions with no regrets, like it was in mid-July.
“Rosie and Ryan are the perfect fit for Autograph—beautiful, exclusive and absolutely contemporary… On set, they worked together to deliver a mesmerizing performance which allowed us to capture shots that literally sizzle with excitement and an air of mystery. It’s a very different campaign for M&S as it’s the first time that we have focused on one of our brands in this way. We are very proud of the result—a set of truly stunning photographs that totally encapsulates the Autograph brand,” commented M&S executive director Steve Sharp.
The series of romantic prints for the Autograph brand, which includes lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, general women’s fashion and accessories, were be shot by BAFTA awards photographer Greg Williams outside the St Pancras Grand in London. “I feel proud to be associated with a British high street favourite that holds fond memories for so many people,” shared Huntington-Whiteley. “The Autograph collection is a modern take on the classic style I love and feel most comfortable wearing. The pieces in this collection are lasting staples that’ll never go out of style,” added Reynolds.
Ryan (the ‘Green Lantern’ star) and Rosie (Burberry Body and Victoria’s Secret model and ‘Transformers’ actress) are not the only celebrities to appear in the brand’s new advertising projects: Marks & Spencer invited David Gandy to front the Collezione autumn 2011 campaign.
