London Heathrow T3 can now boast of the world’s best airport bar—Grey Goose Loft at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. Opened by Grey Goose vodka and Virgin Atlantic, it is located on the Upper deck of the Clubhouse and will provide Virgin Atlantic upper class passengers with luxurious service and special cocktail offerings.
The bar was designed by Glock Design Ltd, an established British design studio and features a range of furniture items created by some of Europe’s most talented designers. They include a UK premiere for the Mollis lounge chair, by Swedish design duo, Jonas Nordgren and Artur Moustafa of RVW. It will adorn a DJ booth where guest DJs will set the cocktail atmosphere.
Among other items are Morph—a Bar stool by Formstelle, Zeitraum, 2010; Dizzie—a side table by Lievore Altherr Molina, Arper, 2004; Torchlight—a table Lamp by Sylvain Willenz, Established & Sons, 2008/2011; Street—multi units by Anna Larsson & Sara Larsson, A2 Designers, 2010/2011; and Twiggy—a floor lamp by Marc Sadler, Foscarini, 2006. There is also a cult La Chaise, a longe chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1948 for a competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and inspired by ‘Floating Figure’, a sculpture by Gaston Lachaise.
Grey Goose spokesperson, Allison Mitchell said: “We believe that the Grey Goose Loft offers an escape for travellers, where they will have the opportunity to enjoy a ‘personal taste’ experience and a reflection of Grey Goose, in the best of service and style. A traveler experience unlike any other airport bar in the world.”
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow is a venue with an established reputation for providing the hi-end pre-flight experience for upper class passengers offering services from spa pool or sauna to a game of pool. Partnered with Grey Goose, it has exclusive Grey Goose cocktails on its Brasserie menu such as Grey Goose amuse-bouche or a refreshing Grey Goose Le Pressé.
Grey Goose, one of the most luxurious vodka brands in the world, often arranges parties that mark the most important art, fashion and film events. Last spring it arranged a party for Oscar nominees.
A series of special events will be held in the Grey Goose Loft as Grey Goose celebrates its commitment to the world’s best in art, music, fashion and film. The bar is open to all upper class passengers and Gold Card holders with cocktails served daily from 4.00 pm.
