Nike and Microsoft unveiled the result of their partnership, ‘Nike+ Kinect Training’ for Kinect for Xbox 360. The training program that was presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) yesterday, on June 4, features some of the world famous athletes such as Lebron James and Rafael Nadal working out with Nike trainers. The superstars will motivate users to train better and open their physical possibilities on a maximum level without leaving their homes.
‘Nike+ Kinect Training’ is specifically designed to help athletes get inspired by the elite athletes performance and train better at homes. The Kinect technology allows users to interact with virtual personal trainers who can control their body movements and assess their performance on different levels, as well as develop a customized workout plan for them. The program is integrated with Nike’s smartphone app and the Nike FuelBand.
“Nike+ Kinect Training’ gives everyone access to the same training we give professional athletes. It combines our unique understanding of the greatest athletes in the world with the amazing sensor technology of Kinect for Xbox 360,” said Stefan Olander, Nike vice president of Digital Sport.
“‘Nike+ Kinect Training’ will make working out at home fun and inspiring, and with its seamless connection to two huge global communities in Xbox LIVE and Nike+, you’ll always find more motivation in someone to train with or challenge.”
The ‘Nike+ Kinect Training’ program will be available for purchase exclusively on Kinect for Xbox 360 during the holiday 2012 season.
Earlier this year, Nike collaborated with Microsoft’s Skype to launch a ‘Free Face’ game.
