One of the 2012 Best Global Green Brands, Honda has launched its Summer Clearance Event campaign with a new twist—it features six Hollywood movie-ending clichés used in the action-adventure, family comedy, buddy, college adventure, girl-power and inspirational genres.
For instance, the ‘Action Adventure’ video shows a Honda owner who drives his Accord toward the desert horizon to the Judas Priest’s ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Coming.’ In ‘College Movie’ spot, a new Civic owner and his college buddies are moving through town to Outasight’s ‘Tonight Is the Night.’ The different spots target six different demographics, delivering the same message—Honda makes daily routine look like a movie. All films can be viewed on Honda’s YouTube.
Created by RPA, Honda’s agency of record, the spots will air on high-profile network programs such as ‘America’s Got Talent,’ ‘Castle,’ ‘NCIS,’ etc and on cable networks, including A&E, Animal Planet, Bravo, Discovery and TBS. Print ads will appear in several magazines. Online ads will run in top automobile and consumer websites and social media.
