To promote its new chicken snack offering called McBites, McDonald’s UK is launching an integrated campaign on TV and in OOH created by Leo Burnett London in collaboration with production company Blink.
The TV commercial features a chunk of the McBite that is imagined to be a meteor that has landed in a little world inhabited by little charming people. In fact it is the owner of a packet of McBites who is sitting in McDonald’s, eating the snack and doodling on a napkin.
Charming illustrations were created by Yulian Ojanen & Daniel Sollscher of Major Briggs. Food photos for the outdoor campaign were shot by Jason Lowe.
Leo Burnett has been a long standing advertising partner for McDonald’s, in particular, the London LB team developed a successful ad campaign for the Olympics “We All make the games”.
