M&K Acquisitions buys sports drink company Gleukos
Gleukos is an all-natural sports drink company created in 2003 by a famous runner and former Nike employee, Mark Jensen.
Its mission is to fuel athletes without syrupy fructose, sucrose or stimulants. The company expects to more than triple sales in 2009 with the addition of new distributors and retailers.
A custom-designed, 16-oz flexible standup pouch has unique functional benefits. According to Jensen, the pouch is 80% lighter and takes up 50% less space than rigid beverage bottles. The patented pouch was awarded for packaging excellence by Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) in 2006.
