PepsiCo recalls new Tropicana packaging

This January PepsiCo which is the brand owner of Tropicana Pure Premium, started shipping out cartons without the familiar picture of an orange with a straw struck into the side.

The new cartons feature a tall glass of juice wrapped around the side of the box, and many fans were left disappointed with it.

The customers wrote to the company complaining that the new box, quote, “resembles a generic store brand,” which is just true. Others called it ugly or stupid. A company executive told the New York Times he underestimated the deep, emotional bond that some consumers had with the original packaging. So Tropicana is brining back the old cartons next month.
