The North Face: style and sustainability

The North Face producing outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment engaged Chen Design Associates to launch a global redesign of its product hang tag and packaging system.

The hang tag and packaging system of The North Face didn’t communicate what the company values and represents: technological leadership in the outdoor industry and efforts toward greater environmental sustainability in its business practices.

Unveiled in Spring 2008, all outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, such as tents and sleeping bags, will be re-branded with the new innovative system, in four different languages, which utilizes high percentages of post-consumer content and soy-based inks.
