Timberland Earthkeepers Grant Recipients “Improve” London

Timberland has already selected the recipients of its Timberland Earthkeepers Grant 2010 and now is happy to present both the winners and the beneficial activities they are going to perform with the granted money. Tic Tac Launched the Shake, Share & Care Campaign in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Tic Tac® kicked off the Shake, Share & Care program in support of Breast Cancer Awareness as well as all those affected by cancer. As part of its six-year partnership with CancerCare the brand has made an initial donation of $100,000 to organization and launched its official Facebook page to encourage fans to Shake, Share & Care by posting their kind acts in an effort to help the brand reach its goal of an additional $100,000 donation to the organization. Budweiser has something new for its loyal fans—the UK launch of Budweiser ‘66’ lightly carbonated  beer with a touch of sweetness for a smooth, easy taste at 4% abv was announced back in April 2010, and now the alcohol brand is happy to present its new product in packaging designed by jkr agency. The bottles and cans’ look retain Budweiser’s iconic visual authenticity, still some of its features was a bit adapted to the modern tendencies. (more…)

O2 Launches UK’s First Eco Mobile Phone Rating Scheme

On August 25, O2 unveiled results of eco rating, the UK’s first sustainable rating system for mobile phones. The Sony Ericsson Elm tops the list of 65 mobile phones from six manufacturers, rated 4.3 out of 5. The scores reflect the environmental impact of a mobile phone, how it helps people lead more sustainable lives and the ethical performance of the manufacturer. (more…)

Yahoo! and New York Times Help Find Predictions about the Future

Yahoo! is providing its users with a tool that enables them to peer into the future. The new application, Time Explorer is a product of the Yahoo!’s research labs team from Barcelona and is designed for analyzing how news changes over time and search for already made predictions on certain things. YouTube UK Invites to Watch a Movie

It seems that over a few years, we will not have to go to the cinema or even take a disc to watch a movie—everything will be online and for free. Last Friday, 27 August, YouTube launched another free movie section, this time in the UK, inviting people to watch hits of the film industry for free and without any time limitations on the web. To date, there are more than 400 full-length movies of various genres, including action, horror, comedy and animated films, with yet more to come. (more…)
