Rexam produces embossed can for Olvi cider brand

Rexam, the global packaging firm and can-maker, has created a 360-degree “golf ball embossing design” for Finnish cider brand Fizz Cooler.

rexam_fizz_cooler.jpgThe brand, which is produced by Finnish brewery Olvi, combined the “golf ball” appearance with Rexam’s Illustration Impact printing technique, which enables photos to be printed on cans.

Fizz Cooler product group manager Juha Wathen said that unlike the beer market, the cider industry had “seen very little in can shaping”.

Rexam first introduced 360-degree embossing in Europe in 2007 and customers can choose from a range of patterns to suit their brand.
