The biggest cinema fan in the beer family, Stella Artois in partnership with film platform MUBI is kicking off another project revolving around the cinematic theme, which comes as an addition to a range of similar initiatives launched in the previous years. The new project is not related to the Cannes Film Festival as might be expected (being the official sponsor of the event, each year the brand launches a campaign ahead of the festival, which is traditionally hosted in May), and is more like a spin-off of a successful initiative, launched by the brand in summer 2011.

HEINEKEN today announced that it has extended its 15 year partnership with the James Bond franchise. It will introduce an unprecedented and innovative global marketing campaign to support the launch of the new film SKYFALL. This is the 23rd film in the James Bond series, and the 6th consecutive James Bond film that the Heineken® brand has been involved with. Heineken® brand’s global SKYFALL marketing programme will include a wide range of promotion and activation rights in and around the film, including for the first time the participation of James Bond actor Daniel Craig in the brand’s worldwide campaign.

YouTube has announced it will launch an online film festival logically entitled Your Film Festival that will take submissions of short films up to 15 minutes in length between February 2 and March 31. Fifty semi-finalists will be selected by Scott Free Productions, Ridley and Tony Scott’s production company. Then, 10 finalists will be chosen to go to the Venice Film Festival in August.
