Google Tests Its Own Mobile Phone

Google has launched its own mobile phone with a suggested name Nexus One only for corporate use as for now. The staff of the company has received the new device to test it and share the opinions with the developers. The long-awaited phone seems to be closer to the market than it has been predicted.

According to the reports, the phone was manufactured by HTC and is based on the Google Android operating system. The branded Google phone has been rumoured for more than a year, and now turns to be somewhat like a holiday gift.

Mario Queiroz, VP of product management for Google, posted the information on the launch on the Official Google Mobile Blog.

We recently came up with the concept of a mobile lab, which is a device that combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities, and we shared this device with Google employees across the globe,” said Queiroz.
