Peroni Nastro Azzurro presents ‘Autunno / Inverno’ (Autumn / Winter), the second part of the Four Seasons of Italian Style campaign, a celebration of Italian life through the seasons in reflection of the fashion calendar.
The film captures the vivacity of Italians in winter time and presents how they embrace the season. For many, moods become darker as the days grow shorter, whereas Italians embrace the colder months with enthusiasm and vitality. The Italian passion, spontaneity, and charm are all captured in the film, as we follow a group of young Italians from Milan to Cortina showcasing the two stunning Italian areas. The short film was shot in two of Italy’s most stylish locations, the fashion capital Milan, and the picturesque village of Cortina d’Ampezzo, set high in the Dolomites Mountains.

The stunning fashions are styled by celebrity stylist David Hawkins who has worked with global stars from Kate Moss to Faye Dunaway. His love of Italian Style and cinema meant that the collaborations was an opportunity for David to immerse himself in the world synonymous with Capri, Cortina and Rome that conjure up images of Sophia Loren and cinematic Italian style.
The soundtrack is created by Mario Biondi, the triple platinum recording artist celebrated for his low and bluesy tones. Mario has enjoyed a star studded career working with greats such as Burt Bacharach and Ray Charles, as well as releasing acclaimed solo albums. Mario’s most celebrated single ‘This is what you are’ was a favourite of well known radio DJ Norman Jay and was featured extensively on his Radio 1 playlist. Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Mario partnered for this project with the shared purpose of expressing the Autumn / Winter seasons in a uniquely Italian way. Mario’s voice and character is perfectly suited to the task as his Sicilian heritage and innate talent enable him to deliver an authentic performance that embodies Italian warmth, passion and charm.
The film, produced by Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s global creative agency The Bank, uses hand-held Bolex cameras that create intimate cinematography to portray the unique moments and spontaneity of the group as they enjoy the season. Traditionally associated with the summer months, this is the first time that Peroni Nastro Azzurro has aligned the brand with the Autumn / Winter season.
