Burger King will launch a new campaign for children giving away a video game toy with each Kiddie Meal. The fast food chain, in cooperation with Microsoft, will offer the item that can be scanned into the Xbox Kinect game, Kinectimals, making it part of the action.
The innovative idea, using the controller free technology and cameras sensing motion and audio, will allow kids to interact with five different animals in play. Once the toy received from Burger King is processed into the entertainment unit, it can then be thrown around the room and one of the virtual creatures selected will fetch it back to the child as one of the many tricks that it can be taught.
The company expects for the project to start before Christmas of this year. There is an add-on by Kinect that will be released this Fall and is currently available for reservations.
