SC Johnson and GfK Roper Consulting released a survey on American consumer green attitudes and behaviors, demonstrating the evolution of consumer interests and actions over the last two decades.

After quite a long agitation from Greenpeace and its followers all around the world, H&M has agreed to publicize information about chemicals being released from its suppliers’ factories. The first round of information is due to be published by the end of 2012, and will include H&M’s key suppliers in China and other countries.
Coca-Cola Great Britain is today launching a new PlantBottle packaging. To celebrate the eco-event the company tasked designer Wayne Hemingway (who is also developing a new uniform for McDonalds) to help communicate the environmental message to consumers, creating a limited-edition umbrella, with fabric made entirely from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The umbrellas are exclusively being sold at Harvey Nichols.
Volkswagen announced it will invest one billion Euros (US$1.45 billion) in renewable energy projects. This is an attempt to stay ahead of constantly rising fossil fuel prices and, probably, to improve the automaker’s sustainability image after the Greenpeace accused it in high carbon emissions and tried to make VW to improve its green standards.
