Last week the world’s biggest and most successful online store for music and entertainment, Apple’s iTunes, saw a major revamp since 2010 — the whole-new 11 version for Mac and PC featuring new look, more convenient user interface and intuitive navigation. Moreover, new iTunes has got a redesigned player and a better integration with iCloud, which allows to store all the content and access it even while offline and from different devices.

Doodle 4 Google, an international creative contest for young artists to create their own Google doodles, this year was hosted in Russia for the first time. While the company’s headquarter chose a futuristic topic for the 2012 event («If I could travel in time, I’d visit…»), Google Russia gave the contest a rather patriotic twist having devoted it to the Russian authentic culture and history («My city. My country»). As it was announced yesterday, Pyotr Alekseyev, an 8-year-old schoolboy from Belgorod, named the winner.

Iconic British spread Marmite has launched a pre-Christmas campaign for its Gold version in London encompassing both social media and DOOH channels to give its fans a munite of fame.

As a first stage, Marmite invited all its fans (and even foes) to have some fun with its new app allowing to submit users’ photos which then appear on a large digital screen of the famous Christmas lights on Oxford Street.

Social gaming company Zynga has launched its holiday philanthropic campaign, which connects virtual and real world. It kicked off “Oh, What Fun!” initiative, which helps to collect money for buying toys for children from less fortunate families in the USA. The new campaign invites gamers to contribute to the cause while playing their favourite online games—from November 28 to December 31, all the money from in-game purchase price will be donated to Toys for Tots (players’ purchases are not tax-deductible).
