The Dom Pérignon champagne brand has joined forces with the iconic contemporary artist Jeff Koons to create a limited-edition version of a bottle, a giftbox and a bottle holder in line with his balloon-themed artistic style. For the project, the master has adapted its “Balloon Venus” magenta sculpture, inspired by a paleolithic fertility figurine, the Venus of Willendorf, discovered in Austria and dated back to around 23 000 BC.

ABSOLUT is rolling out a new international campaign, Transform Today, that is all about fostering artistic metamorphosis and connecting daring minds across the planet. To reach this goal, the brand teams up with four contemporary artists who “ignore fate and break boundaries,” reshaping their personal creative vision and the fields they are working in. As part of the new marketing effort, the brand will also reach its consumers, inspiring them to tap into the movement with their own submissions that correspond with the theme.

ABSOLUT Australia is about to introduce a new limited-edition vodka through a series of The Blue Room events fueled by creativity of the nation and four Australian influencers in the arts and music fields. The brand has launched a dedicated hub on its Facebook page, where “creative thinkers” can meet the four recognized talents—Australian sculptor Dion Hortsmans, digital artist Jimmy McGilchrist, audiovisual DJ Sampology, and fashion designer Emma Mulholland—and learn how to collaborate with them.

ABSOLUT is backing the transformation of an abandoned trolley terminal in New York into the first world’s subterranean park, the Lowline. The project, which has been partly funded through Kickstarter in early 2012, is now getting more support from the iconic alcohol brand that will be donating $1 from each sale of the new Absolut Lowline cocktail in participating bars.

Jim Beam is launching a campaign to protect bees, the producers of honey used for Jim Beam Honey, a new product in the brand’s range. The new humorous initiative, Sue the Bears, is aimed at one of the “bee’s enemy”—bears. As part of the effort, Jim Beam will donate money to real-life organizations that protect bee populations and try to find a solution to what’s called Colony Collapse Disorder. Reports have it that honey bees are now under threat in the USA—they are dying or go missing at tremendous rates, about 1/3 of bees in beehives disappeared from their hives over the 2012/2013 winter season across the USA.

The idea of the special beer range for the over 60-year-old consumers dubbed Fahrenheit +60 by the Finnish contestant Tony Dianoff was recognised the best. The two other projects—Easy Star Bottle and Rood Ster Vintage —by Nathan Gabriele from the USA and Charles McGregor from Australia, respectively, secured the second and third places and a grant of $10,000 each.

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the MARTINI vermouth brand is launching a versatile program that embodies the philosophy of “gioia di vivere” (from Italian “joy of living”). Celebrations will include retail exclusives, commemorative labels, refreshing cocktails and unique collaborations to highlight the style, passion and the enthusiasm behind MARTINI since 1863.
