BMW is taking its most impressive urban-themed endeavor BMW Guggenheim Lab to India, making a new destination on the map of the 6-year initiative. After making stops in New York and Berlin, the mobile lab arrives in Mumbai, where it will be open for a month and a half, from December 9, 2012 to January 20, 2013. For the Mumbai installment, the team behind the project collaborated with the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, to launch free “design projects, participatory studies, tours, talks, workshops, film screenings and cultural activities will address challenges and opportunities related to public space and the choices Mumbaikars make to balance individual and community needs,” says BMW’s press release.

This summer ABSOLUT was on a tour around the UK with its Blank art project offering people an unconventional digital experience. The hit of the project was a soundproofed booth. Anybody could enter it, choose their favorite track and dance using their bodies as digital brushes to create digital trails in real-time. The background was blank and served as a canvas for consumers’ artwork.
This year the executive creative body of ABSOLUT VODKA company, Absolut Art Bureau, has partnered with the quinquennial exhibition of modern and contemporary art dOCUMENTA (13), which has taken place from June 9 to September 16 in Kassel, Germany, as well as become a sponsor and supporter of another art event Art 43 Basel in Switzerland.
Bacardi is mixing of one its best flavours, Japanese culture and tattoo aesthetics all together. The rum brand is relaunching Bacardi Dragonberry with a campaign, which pays homage to one of the most prominent characters in the Japanese art, a dragon, with a modern twist through tattooing. The brand tapped Japanese Tattoo Master Horitaka to create a unique dragon tattoo design, ‘the mark of a master,’ which could be won by a lucky Bacardi fan.
Since September 14 through to September 28, the Moscow centre of modern art, design and architecture ARTPLAY will host an exhibition of 100 best works submitted by 76 young talented Russian artists as part of the Russian-only design competition organised by Martini Art Club to create the best arty packagings for the brand’s bestest selections —Martini Bianco и Martini Asti.
