The Design Business Association (DBA) announced the recipients of Design Effectiveness Awards 2013 on February 7. The winners of the annual design competition are determined based on commercial data, which is one of the key judging criteria (along with cause and effect, clarity of presentation, and more).
Covent Garden Soup Co. is unveiling the new packaging for its iconic chilled soup range later this month. The brand has gone an overhaul for the third time over ten years, now with the help of London-based branding and design expert BrandOpus. Previous two redesigns were developed by Reach back in 2002 and later by Ziggurat Brands.
The new-look retail range follows on from the identity redesign, which saw BrandOpus unify and contemporise the distinctive PizzaExpress logo, placing it at the heart of a new visual identity, inspired by the black-and-white stripes of the shirts worn by the pizzaiolos in their restaurants. Now the agency has extended the redesign across a range of 47 products launching into selected supermarkets shortly.
