On July 1, BP returned to the British TV screens after a five-year break. The ad, created by Ogilvy & Mather, features BP’s sponsored athletes from the Olympics and Paralympics, including British track athlete Jessica Ennis and Paralympic runner Richard Whitehead. The athletes run in BP’s bio fields, as well as on field tracks, surrounded by cars.

On June 29, PUMA Volvo Ocean Racing powered by Berg Propulsion introduced Laird Hamilton, big wave surfer and father of modern stand-up paddleboarding, as the honorary 12th crew member of the PUMA Ocean Racing team. PUMA and Hamilton unite to search for the world’s biggest, ride-able waves and to launch a line of innovative stand-up paddleboards. In addition, PUMA revealed a new youth ocean preservation campaign and presented a mascot, educator and honorary 13th crew member, Marmo.
Campaign Asia Pacific and research firm TNS surveyed 3,300 people in the 15-64 year old demographic to unveil the most popular brands in Asia Pacific. The top 3 turned out to be Sony, Samsung and Panasonic. Respondents from Australia, China, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand evaluated the brands in 72 categories.
Levi’s known for it’s sustainability campaigns and eco product styles such as Waterless jeans, is currently supporting a group of young American cyclists that aim to raise money for Blue Planet, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing safe drinking water to those without. That’s the part of Levi’s Shape What’s to Come initiative.
On June 13, the worldwide Olympic sponsor Samsung unveiled its new logo to be used on all its London 2012 campaigns and advertising, including its sponsorship of the Torch Relay, for which it is a Presenting Partner. The presentation took place with the help of David Beckham, who signed up to be the Samsung London 2012 ambassador last month.

Yesterday the brand announced the launch of ‘The Chosen,’ a new global ‘Just Do It’ campaign starring a number of action sports stars. The main point of the campaign is a film featuring skate god Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod), Olympic snowboarder Danny Kass, surf genies Julian Wilson and Laura Enever. The film was shot in many countries of the world at night with lighting and pyrotechnics effects reminding of a live rock concert with a main theme ‘I got a thing’ performed by Hanni El Khatib.
