Yahoo and Toyota have rolled out a new interactive ad format for Toyota Prius, called the ‘living ad.’ The new format of the ads designed to provide iPad users with an immersive experience of the new Prius range. The ads include photography and sequenced videos that use the device’s accelerometer and large canvas and due to it appear to be moving. This campaign follows the successful ‘Prius Goes Plural’ campaign.

Coca-Cola intends to position low-calorie soft drinks as a key fashion accessory, which is why the brand has partnered with Yahoo! and has created a new digital channel entitled ‘Style it Light’. The current marketing endeavour is designed to promote Coca-Cola Light and Diet Coke as part of the larger campaign ‘Love it Light’ and was launched on May 31 across Coca-Cola’s North Western Europe and Nordics region.

On October 20, Starbucks launched the Starbucks Digital Network, in partnership with Yahoo! in nearly 6,800 U.S. venues of the chain. Serving up a collection of hand-picked premium news, entertainment and lifestyle content along with local insights and events, the Starbucks Digital Network, is powered by free Wi-Fi and available only in the chain’s stores. Developed for screens big and small, customers with Wi-Fi enabled laptops, tablets or smartphones can visit the network while in line or while enjoying their favorite beverage in the café.

Yahoo! is providing its users with a tool that enables them to peer into the future. The new application, Time Explorer is a product of the Yahoo!’s research labs team from Barcelona and is designed for analyzing how news changes over time and search for already made predictions on certain things. The application is not unique, still it has a number of improved features and provide users with more relevant and extended results of search.
