Heineken is previewing The Magazzini space, which will be unveiled by the brand during this year’s Milan Design Week, April 9–13. This is a collaborative project serving as a platform for talents in the design industry that will meet to collaborate, get inspired and learn, day and night. A few highlights on the program of the creative hub are listed below, with more details to arrive in March.

Yahoo.com has redesigned its homepage to make it more appealing to a new generation of the online audience. Thanks to the redesign, the oldest web portal got a simplified, crisper look as well as more social-media feel, which is believed to help the website deliver consistent user experience across desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. So far, Yahoo has rolled out the new look only in the U.S.

Bentley unveils its first-ever fragrance range for men to celebrate the brand’s connection to the upscale world. The line includes an expensive luxury perfume (sold at £3,000) as well as more affordable versions of the scent. Working on the line, the legendary British car manufacturer has teamed up with French crystal maker Lalique, which developed a unique crystal flacon for the luxury edition of the product.

Samsung, which has been taking on its rivals Apple and BlackBerry in its recent advertising campaigns, now switches to a friendlier way to promote its Galaxy Note II smartphone. The brand is collaborating with fashion designer Alexander Wang on “the industry’s first co-created print inspired by crowdsourced sketches and images,” created using the Samsung device. The new partnership has both a fashion and a philanthropic twist: the collectively created design will be featured on a limited-edition bag set to be launched in key select markets across the globe to raise money for the Art Start charity, which helps change lives of at-risk children through art.

ABSOLUT VODKA goes crowdsourcing—the legendary brand is encouraging U.S. residents to develop the new design for ABSOLUT Chicago, the latest limited-edition bottle in the city series. For the new initiative, the brand has collaborated with the online design community Threadless, which is hosting the competition on its platform. The winner of the art contest will get his or her design featured on the legendary bottle and will walk away with $10,000 and a trip to the ABSOLUT Chicago launch party.
