Amway Global announced that it will partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help build seven community gardens across the United States. The Amway Global Positive Sprouts project mobilizes volunteers and incorporates the gardening expertise of the Green Education Foundation (GEF) to teach kids how to start and maintain their own edible gardens. An accompanying curriculum will educate youngsters about nutrition, organic gardening practices, and cooking from the garden.

The global coffee chain Starbucks is kicking off two campaigns simultaneously — for its Frappuccino beverages and Via instant coffee. The promotional movements for Starbucks are developed by creative shop BBDO (New York), media agency PHD (New York), and digital shop Blast Radius (Vancouver). It is the first time the company launches two projects one after another in such a showrt period of time.
